SUCCESS STORIES
JOB SHADOW
Job shadowing Mike Ferlazzo, Director of Media Relations at Bucknell University, was an invaluable experience that deepened my understanding of the public relations field. I observed how a media professional manages press inquiries and crafts compelling narratives, as well as the programs and tools used to streamline their daily operations. A highlight of my time with Mike was sitting in on their weekly content strategy planning meeting, where the team collaborated to identify priority materials and create impactful campaigns. This experience reinforced my passion for public relations and gave my valuable insight into the skills and tools needed to excel in this field.
ACLP
Working with local business ACLP was a hands-on opportunity to apply the skills developed through my coursework to help them reach their goals. While working with them, we created various promotional materials and came up with a communication plan to help them better engage with their target audience and increase customer retention. I helped target these goals with measurable outcomes and key messages and content to best accomplish these objectives. This experience taught me the importance of understanding the audience's needs and creating strategies that resonate with them. It was rewarding to see the impact with communication plan had on ACLP and their customer relations.
